What is AUSOM?
AUSOM Incorporated is Australia's Leading Apple Macintosh User Group.
Joining a user group, such as AUSOM, puts you in touch with a network of Apple Macintosh users and gives you access to important information and support resources. With the knowledge of more than a 1,000 members there is somebody to help you with every aspect of computing.
- AUSOM meet three times a month;
- Main Meeting - 1st Saturday of each month, expect for January
The Main Meeting is located Box Hill TAFE, Elgar Road Campus and runs from 10:30am until 5pm and has a Main Presentation and over 20 Special Interest Groups running through out the day.
- R&O Group - 2nd Wednesday of each month, including January
The R&O Group is located at the Bapist Church Hall in Balwyn and runs from 10am until 12 noon and they have a presentation followed by a Q&A session
- Technology Evening - 3rd Thursday of each month including January
The Technology Evenings are located at the Computers Now store in Malvern Road and run from 6:30pm until 7:30pm and are a short presentation followed by Q&As.
Each month members receive AUSOM News, a 60 page magazine packed with hints, tips, news, member experiences and features on Apple Macintosh Computing. Covers are designed by members of the AUSOM Graphics SIG.
AUSOM FirstClass is perhaps the easiest to use, most convenient online Apple Macintosh resource in Australia. It's certainly one of the most comprehensive and is a great source of help, advice and the latest Macintosh free, shareware, updates and software demos.
