Nicholas Pyers has been involved with the Apple User Group communitity for over 17 years, first with the Apple II User Group Communitity and now with Macintosh User Groups. Nicholas worked with both local Australian groups and wider international community, as he continues to do so today.

In early 2004, Nicholas was interviewed by Chuck Joiner on The User Group Report, where they discussed what he did with AUSOM Incorporated, his local MUG and why he contributes to the MUG Center's Newsletter Content email list.

Mid-2005, Nicholas became part of the Australian Macintosh User Group MUG Mentor Team, looking after Victoria & Tasmania.

In October 2005, Nicholas was commissioned by Niche Publishing, the publisher's of Australian Macworld, to prepare a list of Australian Macintosh User Groups for publication in the December 2005 issue and then from the January 2006 issue onwards to prepare a monthly calendar of MUG events from around the country.

The Australian Mac User Group [AUSMUG] offers a wide variety of services and support to all Australian Macintosh User Groups, including local Vendor Offers & Programs; Australian Macintosh News & Information; and they co-ordinate the Australian MUG Mentor Program.

Apple Computer United States

Apple Computer themselves provide many resources for MUGs, including lists of all registered MUGs around the world; Two mailing lists - AUGB for announcements & AUGD for discussions; many questions & answers about how to find or run a MUG.

The User Group Advisory Board advises Apple in matters related to user groups. The UGAB works to advance the cause of Apple user groups and to highlight the important role they play and they offer many resources to MUG Leaderships and Memberships, including Vendor Offers & Programs.

Apple Computer Australia

Apple Australia maintains its' own Macintosh User Group Page that provides a listing with all the contact details for Australian MUGs and also worthy news items from Australian MUGs.
